I wish that there was only the on/off switch because my dogs accidentally trip the button while scratching sometimes. If you use the switch, the button can’t turn it on so we should have used that instead of the button but we didn’t realize that early on and the batteries died within about 3 weeks of usage from accidentally being turned on at night while we were sleeping and waking up to it having been on all night.
