So I finally got around to playing LA Noire and I honestly think its one of the better games I've played In a while. I know a lot of people dont have much care for this title because of things like repetitiveness and outdated game play but It has revived a nice little following and has grown in popularity over the past few years.

It even had a re release for the next generation consoles which is a good sign. So my question is what do you think the possibility of a sequel is?

To me theirs just something truly special about the game that no other game has delivered before I know its far from perfect but it really has won me over and Im craving more, as soon as I finished this game I hopped online expecting there to be loads of information and speculation about a sequel but instead I found almost nothing and no one seems to be even talking about this game anymore which is really disappointing to see. Do you guys thing there will ever be a second installment to this incredible game and its just being kept quiet? Or is it essentially dead?. Well, the original developers of the game (Team Bondi) shutdown a couple of years back due to bankruptcy. They were making a spin-off game for LA Noire called 'Whore of the Orient' which I think was a 1940's detective game in Shanghai or something along those lines. Was leaked a couple of years back when it was in development. But the game was cancelled after Team Bondi shutdown.So now the rights to LA Noire rest in Rockstar's hands and it's up in the air with what they're doing.

Although there was a Q&A with one of the developers at Rockstar a few years back around the release of Max Payne 3. And I believe they said not to rule out any chances for LA Noire 2. So it's unknown at this time what their plans are. It's possible that the LA Noire Remaster for current gens was a test to see how much love the LA Noire brand has and if it's worth their work. But either way with how Rockstar are so caught up with GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and eventually GTA VI, I honestly doubt we'll be seeing another LA Noire for a long while sadly. But Rockstar can be full of surprises.

I don’t think they would expend the resources on a multi-platform remaster and VR edition (which takes a load of time and effort and money) if they weren’t considering doing an outright sequel.When they announced the remaster my first thought was “I bet they’re testing how well it does,” since, precisely like you said, it’s gathered an increasingly growing cult status. At least I hope it was sort of a market test.It’s clear they’re passionate about it regardless because those remasters probably look a LOAD of work to do. And since Rockstar owns the IP I wouldn’t put a sequel past them.After RDR what would they do? I think GTA VI will be quite a while away at this rate, and I honestly don’t see them making another Max Payne after 3. Maybe they do Bully 2, but idk what that would look like in 2018/2019. They’d be walking on egg shells with that, not that they care. Probably not the sort of mass heat they want tho.So they either jump on a new IP, or a LA Noire sequel.

Whatever that would look like.All I want is to keep the dramatic vibe to separate it from other of their games. Like I would love something like The Untouchables where you are an agent, or even if they want to do something more like the first whatever.Of course this is all scattershot, hopeful speculation. If GTA VI is say 5 years out then do they put everyone on that or do they give one or two studios the reins on a project between now and then?
